Eat A Healthy Breakfast – Shred Belly Fat Fast

HEALTHY BREAKFAST: Shred Belly Fat Fast

There are many divergent views on why you should eat a HEALTHY BREAKFAST, and many of them misleading.  Considering that when you wake up, you have probably not eaten or had anything to eat in 8 hours. In those 8 hours, your body has been burning fuel to keep you alive and has depleted all or most of the food you eat the night before.  Generally, we do one of three things,

  1. have Coffee and head for work,
  2. have coffee and muffin on the way to work, or
  3. have nothing before we get to work.

None of them are good for you. Why,,,,,

Carbs-based Breakfast

In the morning simple carbohydrates (sugary cereals, white toast & jam, Muffins etc) cause an immediate surge of blood sugar levels which results in your body releasing more insulin. The insulin removes sugar from the blood and turns its excess into fat, around the middle of men and on the butt and thighs usually in women. As a result of this, your blood sugar level dives and you reach for the chips, soda, doughnuts, and snacks again.  This chases up the sugar levels and so the cycle continues 2-3 more times during the day. This vicious cycle is one of the major reasons for diabetes, high blood pressure and extra weight

Skipping breakfast

When you skip breakfast, your blood sugar drops below the normal level, and you become hungry and just want food to compensate for the drop in energy. What happens, you reach for the coffee and muffin, soda and crisps or the chocolates to pump up the energy levels to feel better. The simple carbohydrates cause an immediate sugar rush. The old pancreas gets the call for an emergency insulin supply to lower the sugar level,  compensating for the extra sugar load.  The excess sugar is turned into fat, turned into what??? That’s it, fat, which is again stored. Then, you got it, it starts all over again. This cycle repeats itself 2-3  more times during the day. This vicious cycle too constitutes one of the reasons for the development of diabetes, high blood pressure, and extra weight.

Balanced protein-based breakfast

A balanced, protein-rich breakfast supplies our body with all vital nutrients and energy we rewire until the next meal, without unduly increasing blood sugar levels. a good breakfast helps to reduce our craving for sugar-laden carbs during the day. We can then control our appetite, reducing cravings for carbs (snacks, chocolate, pastry, junk, soft drinks, etc.)  and our body uses some of its own stored fats to get more energy. Less fat around the middle, butt, and thighs.

No Time For Breakfast Shakes

Many people complain that they do not have time for breakfast. The irony of that is that they have time for coffee. As a policeman, working shifts, I often used that excuse. I tried many different products had many failures. Only when I was diagnosed with Diabetes did I really make an effort to solve my skipped breakfast problem. I found a shake that kept me sorted, without becoming hungry, chasing up my sugar levels with an overload of sugar and fats and kept me energised. I drink the thermal beverage for the morning kick-start and the Mango flavoured aloe concentrate for a tasty and kilojoule-controlled drink, to help me stay hydrated.

  1. I did hear before that breakfast is very important, in fact more important than lunch and dinner as you said. For me, I take those 3 in 1 cocoa drink with oats. I should go for something healthier. Thanks for the useful information!

    • Hi Alex.
Thanks for the comment. I certainly agree that you should take a healthier breakfast. There are certainly health supplements that you could use.

  2. Hi Bryan. Thank you for a very informative post. I agree with you, breakfast is king. I cannot go without a decent breakfast. The days I do, I feel tired and peckish the whole day.

When I eat a good protein based breakfast, it lasts me nearly the whole day.

Unfortunately, I became allergic to eggs about 10 years ago and that was a big blow for me. I love eggs.

We don’t always have time in the mornings to make a full on breakfast. What do you suggest as a good alternative for a lunch (breakfast) box?

    • Hi Rika, Thanks for your comments.  Look for a good supplement to take in the mornings. I use one for breakfast because it quick to use. 3 minutes and I’m done and it lasts well into lunch.

      Best regards

  3. Ever since I started taking an interest in health and fitness I’ve always made the effort to eat my breakfast, this now means I get up an hour before i plan to leave my house. At first it was a bit of a struggle but now I find it easy and actually forward to eating. If you don’t have that much time in the morning then I guess a shake could be most beneficial.

    • Absolutely Lyle. There are some very good Nutritional supplements available that make a good breakfast. Just do the research and check on them before you use them.

  4. I agree to have breakfast as it is the most important meal of the day. Personally I am on a different lifestyle of Paleo/keto and mix it up with either eggs/bacon or protein shake with added fat. I agree that by having a clean protein shake it is quick and full of nutrients to keep you going!

    • Hi Elizabeth, Nothing beats eating a healthy meal for breakfast. The shake should only come into play when you don’t have the time or when you cannot get the right type of food. These days, the cost of healthy meals also comes into play. Thanks for your comment.

  5. Agree fully with the Breakfast like a king ….

But breakfast on the right food ! You are so right when you say that our breakfasts must be protein rich. I love egg in any form for breakfast. A nice piece of haddock is also great with the baked beans. And then maybe a few nuts as well.
And eating small at night and not eating at all after 8pm is also key.
Enjoyed your page. Full of wisdom.

    • Hi Roy, You are absolutely on the mark with your breakfast, however, a lot of people do not eat breakfast at all or eat a very poor breakfast. I wish we could get more people to follow your example. It would do their health wonders.

      Thanks for the comment

  6. A timely reminder about the importance of breakfast and refuelling our bodies properly. I do normally have breakfast and always try to make time. On the days I work I’m out of the house at 4.50am so I take overnight oats or baked beans to eat at work when I get there. Sometimes at home, though, I do forget to eat until I’m ravenous at 10am and wondering why! You’re so right – I’ve had my coffee but forgotten to stop doing chores to eat. Thank you for this post reminding of breakfast’s importance.

    • Hi Megan, Thanks for your comment and I am glad you were reminded of the importance of breakfast. It really makes your day. It i One should not forget our children, at school or Varsity that are now writing exams. A Nutritious Breakfast will help them concentrate. All the best. Bryanb
